Doctor Brian Gilbert
After graduating Magna Cum Laude from New Mexico State University with his biology degree, Dr. Gilbert earned his dental degree from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry, where he was named valedictorian. He fine-tuned his skills through several post-graduate programs including the Baylor College of Dentistry Post-Graduate Continuum and the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.
Dr. Gilbert is a contributing editor to the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry, an internationally-circulated publication for cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Gilbert is the only cosmetic dentist who is accredited by American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) in Las Cruces and the El Paso region of west Texas.
Dr. Gilbert has also been chosen by the AACD as a Consultant and Examiner for the Academy.
Dr. Gilbert has been a featured lecturer, educator and presenter across North America and has published numerous articles on cosmetic dentistry techniques in prestigious dental journals including, the New Mexico Dental Journal, Dentistry Today, and the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry.
He has been a clinical instructor and lecturer with Aesthetic Advantage, a post-graduate program for cosmetic dentistry based in New York, and, for whom, he has taught with a team of cosmetic dentistry specialists in Palm Beach, Florida. In addition, he has been a clinical instructor for both the Albuquerque Dental Study Group and the LV Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in Nevada. Dr. Gilbert also spends much time each year mentoring younger dentists in restorative and cosmetic dentistry techniques.

Dr. Gilbert and the entire Bright Star Team are also active in supporting the city of Las Cruces through numerous community service projects during the year. As a result of his service to the community, Dr. Gilbert has received recognitions such as:
